Did the zodiac murderer's cypher ever get solved?

We have some of the best cryptographer in the know world and ther are tons of information that the News Media and the federal Government and the Police get that are never printed out for the consumption of American citizens.. And with that known fact we may never know who really broke this case wide open that led to the capture of the zodiac........ And the main reason that they don't release certain information is to help the local police to capture a couple of copy cats killers... That started up after the real zodiac was behind bars.... And needless to say the general public was never made aware of that situation either....
