Ban of privileges after being 18!?

18 in Fairfax County Public Schools in Virginia. It ranks THE BEST for secondary education in the country; although it's not so popular. now, I don't exactly know a lot about this, which is why I ask. FCPS (fairfax county public schools) don't allow privileges for 18 year olds. you're still required to get your parents to sign you out in the middle of the day; your parents are still involved in activities you're involved in. and i don't find it fair or understandable. coz a lot of us move out of house once we're 18; and still try to keep up w/ education...a lot of us are seniors in high schools and 18, which is what i am. but i just feel bad when somebody tells me they'd have to call my parents to get me out of school.. that's ridiculous! it's not that we disrespect our parents in any way, but we just don't think we should be baby-sitted anymore. after you're 18, you're an adult, you get into marines and things like that, you get to choose your political views, you earn your own money and run your own life, a lot of parents aren't there to support you; and you would think you receive the same respect as any adults. but you don't in FCPS! how could anybody take a legal approach to changing this? coz aren't you legally an adult? isn't it YOUR LIFE? why would anybody have you depending on someone else at your adult-hood? IT'S YOU ALONE WHEN YOU'RE AN ADULT!
