What has John Edwards done so despicable that most other politicians have not done?

Personally, I think he is an and don't deserve to be in any public office. However, his romantic interlude (nice choice) has nothing to do with his potential value to serve the American people. He just got caught with his pants unzipped, no other different than Slick Willy, JFK, Lyndon Johnson, Eisenhower, etc. Maybe someone with uncontrolled appetite for will make a good public servant, who knows. Only thing that Edwards should have read on was the lenghty affair which from the beginning had the great possibility that it would turn out to be a big bag of worms. If it's OK with Elizabeth, guess it's OK with all.
